Job Description
JobEgy is hiring a Practice Nurse to support a friendly and organised GP practice in St Helens.
The practice offers a calm, well-run nursing environment with clear clinical templates, strong HCA support, and accessible senior clinicians for advice. Systems are set up to keep clinics efficient, with reliable stock management, structured recalls, and good admin processes to support long-term condition work.
Up to 3 days a week available with flexibility on working days.
Practice Nurse clinics with a strong focus on routine care and chronic disease support.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver long-term condition reviews and monitoring in line with practice protocols
• Provide cervical screening where qualified and competent
• Undertake immunisations and vaccinations as required
• Deliver treatment room duties including dressings and wound care
• Support infection prevention and control processes and clinical stock management
• Record accurate clinical notes, coding and recalls
• Work with the wider team to support patient education and self-management
Requirements
• NMC registration
• Recent UK general practice experience as a Practice Nurse
• Competence in treatment room duties and chronic disease management
• Cervical cytology qualification where applicable to the role
• Good understanding of documentation, coding and recall systems
• Reliable, team-focused approach with good communication skills
Working Pattern
• Part-time engagement
• Up to 3 days per week
• Flexible sessions available by agreement
• Clinic mix aligned to your competencies and practice need
