Job Description
JobEgy is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to join a patient-focused GP practice in Bexleyheath.
The practice offers a supportive nursing and GP team structure with clear clinical protocols, good onsite leadership, and well-managed appointment templates. Systems and workflows are set up to help clinicians work efficiently, with strong admin support, consistent coding standards, and reliable escalation when needed.
Up to 3 days a week available with flexibility on which sessions you cover.
Hands-on NP role focused on minor illness and same-day care.
Role Snapshot
• Primary care clinics with a mix of booked and urgent appointments
• Supported by clear pathways, structured templates and clinician collaboration
• Opportunity to contribute to service flow and patient access
Key Responsibilities
• Assess, diagnose and treat patients presenting with minor illness and acute conditions
• Provide clinical advice, safety netting and follow up plans
• Prescribe within scope where qualified and follow local guidance
• Request and interpret investigations and act appropriately on results
• Refer to other services and clinicians using established pathways
• Maintain accurate clinical records, coding and documentation standards
• Work with the wider practice team to support safe patient flow and access
Requirements
• NMC registration
• Nurse Practitioner training and evidence of relevant clinical competence
• Recent experience working in UK general practice or a similar primary care setting
• Confident assessment skills and ability to manage same-day presentations
• Good understanding of clinical systems, documentation and coding expectations
• Professional approach and ability to integrate into a busy team
Working Pattern
• Contract engagement
• Up to 3 days per week
• Flexible sessions available depending on service requirements
• Combination of telephone and face-to-face clinics as agreed
