Job Description

JobEgy is looking for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to support a well-run GP practice in Maidstone.

You will join a stable multidisciplinary team with clear clinical governance, supportive GPs on-site, and well-structured admin pathways to keep sessions flowing. The practice uses modern clinical systems, consistent triage processes, and a helpful reception and management team to reduce avoidable workload.

Up to 3 days a week available with flexibility around which days and session times.

Fast-paced ANP role with a strong support setup and sensible appointment management.

Role Snapshot
• Primary care clinic sessions with a mix of same-day demand and pre-booked appointments
• Opportunity to focus on minor illness, urgent presentations and long-term condition reviews depending on preference

Key Responsibilities
• Undertake autonomous clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients presenting with acute and routine conditions
• Prescribe independently within scope of practice and local protocols
• Manage and prioritise same-day demand, including triage where required
• Request and interpret investigations and act on results appropriately
• Provide health promotion and self-management advice to patients
• Work closely with GPs, nursing team and wider PCN services to ensure safe onward referral and follow up
• Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation and coding

Requirements
• Registered Nurse with ANP qualification and relevant advanced practice training
• Current NMC registration
• Independent Prescriber qualification
• Recent UK primary care experience in an ANP capacity
• Strong clinical decision making and confident management of undifferentiated presentations
• Ability to work efficiently within agreed practice pathways and clinical systems

Working Pattern
• Locum engagement
• Up to 3 days per week
• Session times can be adjusted where possible to suit availability
• Mix of face-to-face and telephone work depending on practice need
