Job Description
JobEgy is seeking a General Practitioner to provide clinical sessions for a well supported practice in Rayleigh.
You will be part of a collaborative team with experienced clinicians, structured daily huddles, and responsive management. The practice runs consistent workflows with protected admin time, established triage processes, and strong reception navigation to reduce unnecessary contacts and keep clinics manageable.
Up to 4 days a week available with flexibility on session distribution.
Patient-facing GP sessions with sensible support and clear governance.
Role Snapshot
• Routine and on-the-day appointments with a balanced mix of telephone and face-to-face work
• Admin supported by effective document workflows and clear task allocation
• Clinical support available through MDT collaboration and defined escalation routes
Key Responsibilities
• Provide safe, patient centred consultations across routine and acute presentations
• Manage long-term conditions in line with local and national guidance
• Review results, documents and clinical correspondence in a timely manner
• Prescribe appropriately and undertake medication reviews where required
• Make referrals and provide safety netting with clear follow up plans
• Maintain accurate clinical records, coding and problem lists
• Contribute to team communication to support safe continuity of care
Requirements
• GMC registration with a licence to practise
• On the NHS Performers List
• Recent UK general practice experience
• Confidence working within common primary care systems and standard workflows
• Strong clinical judgement with a pragmatic approach to workload management
• Effective communication with patients and the wider multidisciplinary team
Working Pattern
• Part-time engagement
• Up to 4 days per week
• Flexible sessions available subject to rota and service needs
• Mix of appointment types aligned to practice demand
