Job Description
JobEgy are looking for Locum Nurse Practitioners in Heathfield.
A flexible locum opportunity for NPs who enjoy urgent care style clinics alongside core primary care activity, with structured sessions and strong support in place.
Up to 4 days a week available with flexibility for short-term cover or ongoing blocks.
A great fit for clinicians who want variety without losing session clarity.
Role Snapshot
• Locum NP work with a focus on minor illness and same-day presentations
• Potential to include treatment room support if you prefer a blended clinic
• Option to extend or repeat sessions as service demand continues
Key Responsibilities
• Assess and manage patients presenting with acute and minor conditions
• Deliver evidence-based care and arrange appropriate referrals or follow-up
• Support triage decisions and manage workload safely within time limits
• Prescribe and administer treatments within scope and local policy
• Provide health promotion, screening advice and preventative guidance
• Maintain clear clinical documentation and communicate with the MDT
Requirements
• NMC registration with NP-level training and relevant clinical competence
• Recent experience in UK primary care or urgent care primary care settings
• Prescriber status where the sessions require prescribing activity
• Strong clinical judgement with confidence to work autonomously
• Understanding of safeguarding, infection prevention and information governance
• Up to date mandatory training and compliant right to work documentation
Working Pattern
• Locum, temporary, part-time or contract options
• Up to 4 days per week with flexible start dates and session times
• Additional ad-hoc sessions may be available at short notice
