Job Description
JobEgy are looking for Practice Nurses in Blaydon-on-tyne.
This opportunity offers flexible sessional work across various primary care services, providing options for nurses experienced in treatment room duties, chronic disease management and preventative health clinics.
Up to 4 days a week available with flexibility on how you structure your week.

Role Snapshot
• Practice Nurse sessions across treatment room and routine nursing clinics
• Scope to focus on chronic disease management depending on your strengths
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver treatment room duties including wound care, dressings and injections
• Support chronic disease management clinics such as asthma, COPD or diabetes
• Provide cervical cytology where trained and competent
• Administer immunisations and travel vaccines in line with PGDs and policy
• Perform health checks and preventative interventions as required
• Maintain accurate records, recalls and clinical coding in the system
Requirements
• NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
• Recent UK primary care experience as a Practice Nurse
• Competence in treatment room activities and infection prevention standards
• Chronic disease management experience desirable depending on session needs
• Cytology qualification where required for specific clinic sessions
• Up to date compliance including DBS, immunisations and references
Working Pattern
• Part-time, locum, temporary or contract options
• Up to 4 days per week with flexible sessions and start dates
• Repeat bookings available for nurses wanting ongoing work
